Learn English in Boston, the charming and vibrant capital of Massachusetts. The language insitute is ideally situated on the orange and green lines of the subway at Boston's North Station, in the heart of Boston. It is surrounded by landmarks, including Faneuil Hall and Haymarket (birthplace of the American Revolution), Beacon Hill (Boston's state capital), the North End (an Italian-American neighborhood famous for its restaurants and cafes), the Back Bay (with fine-dining and cosmopolitan shopping), and the Boston Harbor, with its panoramic views and beautiful islands.
Boston is one of America's oldest cities, but it is also on the cutting edge of the 21st century. The institute is just minutes from MIT, Harvard, UMass, and the East Coast headquarters of Google and Microsoft. Boston boasts an astonishing array of cultural and entertainment options, including multiple theatres, concert halls, and sports arenas. TD Garden (home of the world-famous Boston Celtics NBA and Boston Bruins NHL teams) is a 1-minute walk from the institute while the Boston Red Sox and historic Fenway Park are a few subway stops away. The institute's students, staff, and teachers participate in frequent activities outside of the classroom.
The two week intensive English program will focus on integrating reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, culture, grammar, and pronunciation. You will spend 20 hours per week in classes with 10 hours in grammar, 5 hours in communication and 5 hours in elective of your choice. In addition, the program features in small size classes, customized schedules, friendly atmosphere, academic counseling, highly qualified teachers and multi-media computer lab.
Students will take a test on the first day of the program and will be placed into the class level that best suits you based on the results of the test. Elective classes include American Literature, Creating Writing, Drama, Business Conversation, American Idioms, Public Speaking, College Research Methods, Resume Writing, English Through Computers, and so on.
Classes are from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays and weekends, you can choose to join a one day tour to attractions in or around the Boston city or 2 - 3 day tours to New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, or the world famous Niagara Falls. There will also be daily activities when classes are over, such as movies, museums, ball games, boating, fruit picking, pot luck dinners, and concerts. What's more, you will have a chance to visit the world renowned univeristies such as Harvard University, MIT and Boston University.
